Tops with 6 1/2″ scraps

These are a couple of tops that are made with 6 1/2″ scrap fabrics sorted between light and dark.  The design is based on the placement of the light and dark.  Some of the kits that we handled out at Houston were these same patterns.  This is very easy to make and the bonus is it uses up scraps which we all know get together at night and multiply.  The first one takes 36 dark squares and 34 light ones.

The second one takes 35 light squares and 35 dark ones.

Both of these finish out at 42″ wide by 60″ long.

And remember, if you only like to piece tops, we have other volunteers who are more than willing to quilt those tops.  The address to mail tops is at the link under Pages on the top right of this page.
