I certainly hope everyone is managing to stay cool this evening where ever you are. These past few days in Pittsburgh have been incredibly hot, and I am thankful to be inside this evening as I type this up.
I am constantly amazed at all the people who volunteer for Quilts Beyond Borders and the goodness of each one spread across the United States. Today I am featuring a top and seven quilts from Cheryl in Tucson, Midge in Missouri, and Christine from Georgia.
Cheryl attended the International Quilt Festival (IQF) last November and picked up one of the many kits the organization had prepared for willing volunteers. We reach so many people at IQF and have appreciated the opportunity to promote the services of Quilts Beyond Borders to the many quilters who attend.
Christine sent the beautiful pink and green quilt, which will be heading to Russia in August with our partner, Orphan Outreach. This quilt is for one of the girls who is aging out of the orphanage, and I am sure she will appreciate the quilts feminine features. Midge is a wonderful longarmer who quilted tops from DeDe Crawford, Susan, and Theresa Kovacs.
We thank all three of you wonderful ladies your hard work, dedication, and beautiful quilts and tops you provide for Quilts Beyond Borders.
Have a great weekend everyone. – Jodi
