Happy August one and all. It’s hard to believe we are in the eight month of 2012. Time sure has flown by. As much as I enjoy the sun and summer heat I am already looking forward to fall. It’s my favorite season because the colors in nature are so inspiring.
Speaking of inspiring… Joan Orsi from Georgia quilted and bound these lovely quilts that sure have motivated me to finish a few personal quilt projects. I tried to provide more detailed shots so you could see the her longarm work and the details of the tops. Joan did a beautiful job with each one.
The tops were made by a variety of volunteers. The crazy log cabin-esque top and funky squares were contributed by Jazz; the window frame top with the violets was pieced together by QBB alum. Carolyn Sower; Rebecca Overcash provided the large, contrasting square top; and Jeanne Whittle beautiful quilt with the autumn-inspired color palette.
Thank you Joan for such a wonderful contribution. We here at QBB admire your handy work. Have a great Friday! – Jodi
