Too many cooks may spoil the stew, but when the skills of many quilters come together the results can be quite glorious! Maggie Heinle, the owner of Tower City Quilters longarm quilting in Tower City, ND, who specializes in edge-to-edge quilting and t-shirt quilts, sent me these 10 wonderful quilts that she quilted for Quilts Beyond Borders.
These quilts were made from tops sent to us by piecers from many places in the US, and one even came to us from Australia. Maggie did a superb job of quilting each and every one of them.
From top to bottom, left to right, the quilts were made by the following people:
- 1 and 2: Carolyn Sower and Ida
- 3, 4, and 5: Carolyn Sower
- 6: Anonymous piecer.
- 7: Marilyn Barba and DeDe Cranford
- 8: Martha Miller
- 9: Hong Ying Chang (who sent this top from Australia!)
- 10: Donna Sciandra.
All of the named ladies on the list have given frequently of their talents, and we appreciate it so much! And Maggie, your talents brought it all together! Thank you all!
Regards,
Carla
