Quilts for Costa Rica — and two more for Burundi

These two quilts were among 24 that were taken to San Jose, Costa Rica for Quilts Beyond Borders by the Gold Canyon, AZ United Methodist Church (GCUMC) members in February. The purpose of the trip was to help build a wing to a Bible College but they also wanted the opportunity to pass quilts to children in need. Great thanks to the GCUMC, and to all of the people who helped to create these and the other quilts. You can see how delighted these two children are with their new quilts!

The quilts in the following pictures are going to Burundi with Sister Connection for orphans there. The fabrics for these lovely quilts were donated to Quilts Beyond Borders by RJR Fabrics in November at the International Quilt Market in Houston. Karen Vander Stoep, one of our directors, was the person who made these two quilts.

Really, really nice!  Thanks to RJR Fabrics and Karen. I know the children who receive these beautiful quilts will love them!
