Our First Fat Quarter Challenge Drawing!

Can you believe it’s already been a month since International Quilt Festival??? And that it’s time for our very first drawing to see who’s the winner of the $25 gift certificate from the Fat Quarter Shop? But first, let’s see these beautiful quilts.

The one on the left was our very first FQC quilt received and was made by Donna Sciandra. The quilt on the right was made by Rebecca Timm. Aren’t they beautiful and sure to bring smiles? Ok, our first gift certificate is going to….Donna Sciandra! Be watching your inbox, Donna! Remember, the sooner you return your quilt to me, the more chances you’ll have to win a gift certificate and STILL be entered in the drawing for the $100 grand prize the end of September, 2015! Your name is entered into the monthly drawing EVERY MONTH after I receive your quilt. These two quilts will be going to the Forgotten People of the Navajo Nation in the Bennett Freeze area. I know they’ll be greatly appreciated and much loved.

We’d like to thank the Fat Quarter Shop for their generosity in allowing us, for the first time ever, to award a gift certificate every single month of the challenge!  Here’s a little bit of information about them: Fat Quarter Shop is an online fabric retailer that sells quilting fabrics, fabric precuts, quilt kits, patterns, notions and more. They also offer a wide range of exclusive kits, clubs and block of the month programs. They offer major brands such as Moda Fabrics, Riley Blake Fabrics, Windham, Robert Kaufman, Art Gallery, Marcus Brothers and Northcott. They carry the largest online selection of fat quarter bundles!

The Fat Quarter Shop was founded in 2003 by Kimberly Jolly. An avid quilter, Kimberly began her shop as a side business while still working a corporate position, cutting, packing and shipping right out of her house during evenings and weekends. From the very beginning, she was committed to delivering top-notch service for every single order and customer. As the Fat Quarter Shop’s reputation grew, Kimberly decided to make it a full-time operation. Her husband Kevin joined her not long after, and with his help, lots of hard work, and a tireless commitment, the store began to grow. Over the past few years a few more people have joined the staff!

Thank you so much, Kimberly! We’re looking forward to next month’s drawing!

Smiles,

Sandi
